RUAS Winter Fair Schedule Release
The schedule for the 25th Royal Ulster Winter Fair has now been released and is available for download from the Winter Fair website.
“Northern Bank is proud to have been involved with the Winter Fair since the outset and we are delighted to continue our sole sponsorship of the Winter Fair for the 25th anniversary.” said John Henning, Head of Agriculture, Northern Bank. “A number of initiatives have been introduced this year to help mark the occasion and we are pleased to offer a £25 incentive for animals actually exhibited to encourage exhibitors to bring the maximum number of animals entered to help make the 25th anniversary show even more spectacular.”
A number of new championships have also been added to the schedule for 2010 to encourage more entries particularly in the maiden, in-calf and in-milk heifer classes.
These new classes include Junior and Heifer Championships in each breed for Maiden / in-calf heifers and In-milk heifers respectively. The winners in each breed will then compete for the Interbreed Junior Championship and Interbreed Heifer Championship.
Facilities have been further improved for both exhibitors and livestock this year, with wider cattle stalls ( up to 5 feet ) and improved rest facilities for exhibitors.
The schedule is available for download or can be requested by contacting the RUAS office. Close of entry for livestock is 24th November at 5pm.
